C of E Abuse Report. Contrast with JW org !
by Phizzy innote this report covers cases going back to 1949, they uncovered 400. if j.w's in the u.k did a similar, thorough trawl of all congregation records going back that far, let's pretend they haven't destroyed most of them, we know they have, but just pretend they are all available, how many cases of abuse would they uncover ?
in a much smaller org ?.
maybe the file destruction that has gone on was to protect the org.

That website of Mark's also hasn't been updated in months so I wonder if he's burning out as well. What a mess.

Will Ukraine win?
by Fisherman ini was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.
seems that russia’s military power is much less than it’s reputed to be.
no guess how it will all end..

The west wants WAR! Russia will comply.
'This will not end well; the West made it clear that peace would not be an option.'
Putin is at War with the West – Not Ukraine
Posted Sep 22, 2022 by Martin Armstrong
'Vladimir Putin’s recent speech is making headlines as people falsely claim Russia is about to launch an all-out nuclear attack. Putin is sticking to his same plan and says it in his opening statement: “The subject of this address is the situation in Donbas and the course of the special military operation to liberate it from the neo-Nazi regime, which seized power in Ukraine in 2014 as the result of an armed state coup.” Russia must now play defense as they are no longer simply battling Ukraine.Putin stated that in 1991 the West prided itself on dividing the USSR, and believes “now is the time to do the same to Russia, which must be divided into numerous regions that would be at deadly feud with each other. They decided these plans years ago.”
Putin knows that he is fighting a NATO offensive and not simply Ukraine and directly calls out Washington, London, and Brussels. He correctly stated that the West first set out to demonize Russia and spread “Russophobia,” as they did during the Cold War. NATO and the West are now the opponents of Russia in this proxy war, while the Ukrainian people are merely cannon fodder used to usher in this new world.
Putin has been trying to reclaim land since 2014. He had no plan to seize Ukraine, but did want to reclaim the Donbas. This is much bigger than Russia v Ukraine as he fears he must act on the offensive against most of the world’s superpowers who want to seize Russia. They are shoving endless funds into Ukraine because they expect a prize in the end. Putin stated that he attempted peace talks, but the West shot them down because they craved war.
“After the start of the special military operation, in particular after the Istanbul talks, Kiev representatives voiced quite a positive response to our proposals. These proposals concerned above all ensuring Russia’s security and interests. But a peaceful settlement obviously did not suit the West, which is why, after certain compromises were coordinated, Kiev was actually ordered to wreck all these agreements.
More weapons were pumped into Ukraine. The Kiev regime brought into play new groups of foreign mercenaries and nationalists, military units trained according to NATO standards and receiving orders from Western advisers.”
This will not end well; the West made it clear that peace would not be an option. Zelensky is simply the face of a much larger plan at play that involves an ongoing plot to seize Russia, which has been happening behind the scenes for decades.'

The Head of Pfizer is a Veterinarian
'Albert Bourla is a veterinarian and not a medical doctor who is making a fortune selling his vaccines, not for animals – but people. He is the chairman and chief executive officer of Pfizer, after joining the company back in 1993. He use to be the chief operating officer.
He has COVID again. It seems that those who took the vaccine are developing immune deficiency to COVID like Biden who keeps getting it multiple times. I am not vaccinated, had it once, and that was it. When my daughter insisted I should go to Tampa Hospital to see the head of pulmonary, I said I was tested 5 times and it was always negative. He said the tests were not valid and they still think it was COVID. I went to a new doctor after my old one retired, when he asked if I was vaccinated and I said NO!, I was waiting for the propaganda. He said – Good!
Since this veterinarian tells the world we must be vaccinated, he seems to then listen to the CDC on how to take his own shit. When history is written about this period, I do not think it will be kind to this veterinarian handing out medical advice to people.
I would always make sure my kids were vaccinated. I would take the flu shot sometimes. Now, I will not take anything that comes from Pfizer. I would not trust this guy, especially with my dog. No wonder – he never had to take the Hippocratic Oath.'

It's an evil world.
'A hospital has a choice — earn as little as a few thousand dollars for a COVID outpatient, or admit the patient and earn hundreds of thousands for a non-complex COVID inpatient, and up to almost half a million for a complex case.
You might say the hospitals are making a killing!'

Latest jw broadcast referring to allegations of protecting pedophiles
by jonahstourguide inhi folks.. i put this in abuse as i thought it relevant.. a physically in mentally out friend that considers our friendship greater than religion told me that on the latest broadcast steven lett alluded to satans voice being behind people that claim the organisation protects pedophiles.. my friend then went on to say they must be in damage control.. he added, but that is correct, they are hiding their internal records.
is not that construed as protecting the accused?.
if i get the inclination i may post a snippet of what was actually said.. sadly my friend is trying to protect his family relationships and so goes along with the charade.. his situation weighs on me but, as many of you here know, it can be a difficult road to travel.. jtg.

'Dismissal filed in lawsuit alleging abuse by church elder
Allegations also said other elders threatened to sue family of victim if they referred abuse complaint to law enforcement.
The Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Rockport. Stephen BettsROCKLAND — A notice of dismissal has been filed in a lawsuit lodged last year, alleging a local woman was repeatedly sexually assaulted as a child by an elder at the Rockland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rockport, and other elders discouraged the family from going to police.
The notice of dismissal was filed Jan. 14 in the Knox County court by attorney Michael Bigos of Lewiston who represents the woman. Terms of any settlement were not included in the court file.
A telephone message and email were made to Bigos on Monday morning, Jan. 31. No response has been received. An email was also sent Monday morning to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. which was one of the defendants in the lawsuit. There also has been no response from that organization.
The woman alleged in the lawsuit — filed in October 2021 — she was molested multiple occasions between 1993 and 1996 when she was 11 to 13 years old. The victim disclosed to her mother about the abuse in 1996 and the mother immediately informed the other elders of the congregation, the lawsuit stated.
Instead of investigating the allegations or removing the elder from his position, the elders threatened a lawsuit against the victim’s family if they went public. The pressure led the family not to report the abuse to law enforcement, according to the lawsuit.
Shortly after the woman reported the abuse, the congregation disfellowshipped her, with the elder who said she abused her serving on the judicial committee that took the action.
AdvertisementThe newspaper is not identifying the woman because she is alleged to be the victim of sexual assault.
The allegations in the lawsuit follow numerous media reports nationwide about Watchtower having compiled a lengthy list of suspected child sexual predators within congregations. A March 2019 article in the Atlantic stated “in March 1997, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, the nonprofit organization that oversees the Jehovah’s Witnesses, sent a letter to each of its 10,883 U.S. congregations, and to many more congregations worldwide. The organization was concerned about the legal risk posed by possible child molesters within its ranks. The letter laid out instructions on how to deal with a known predator: Write a detailed report answering 12 questions—Was this a onetime occurrence, or did the accused have a history of child molestation? How is the accused viewed within the community? Does anyone else know about the abuse?—and mail it to Watchtower’s headquarters in a special blue envelope. Keep a copy of the report in your congregation’s confidential file, the instructions continued, and do not share it with anyone.”
The public information desk for Watchtower issued a statement in October 2021 to the Courier-Gazette in response to a request for comment on the lawsuit filed in Knox County.
“Out of respect for the judicial process and the privacy of those involved, we do not comment on the details of pending litigation. For more information on the scriptural position of Jehovah’s Witnesses, please visit jw.org,” according to the statement.
In October, Bigos issued his own statement.
“Our client is a survivor of horrible abuse. She was threatened with church disfellowship and adverse consequences in her afterlife if she brought a claim or asked for help outside of the church. Now she realizes that she was not alone. She sought help from medical providers and trauma-informed advocates and is now ready to come forward. She wants to hold her abuser accountable and make her community safer by preventing this from ever happening again. This is not her fault. She is not alone,” Bigos said in his Oct. 7 statement.
AdvertisementBigos said in October the Washington man who molested the young woman remained an elder and was the registered agent for the congregation.
According to the lawsuit, at age 17 the victim wanted to rejoin the Jehovah’s Witnesses along her with then-boyfriend, but was told she would need to recant her abuse allegation.
The lawsuit stated it was well-known in the congregation during the time of the abuse the elder was treating her differently than other girls in the congregation. The elder would regularly have her spend the night at his residence in Washington after bible studies at his home. The elder also provided one-on-one bible study to the girl despite a policy that did not permit elders to be alone with minor girls.
The lawsuit also alleges Watchtower issued policies to elders, and among these recommendations were to report allegations of child molestation to Watchtower, rather than law enforcement. The elders should also not warn the congregation of threats posed by an accused child abuser, and the elders should not cooperate when confronted with a search warrant, but instead contact Watchtower.
Watchtower had supervision over the elder accused of the molestation at the Rockland Congregation, the lawsuit stated.'
